The Library of America, that august institution which has become a treasure-trove of American letters, last week started publishing, and sending out via e-mail, a Story of the Week from their collections. This week's story is by Charles Chestnut, the 19th century African American author of The Marrow of Tradition. He's one 19th century American author I wish more people outside academia knew more about.
Check the story out and sign up for the story of the week here!
